ثمَّ بيَّن النَّبيُّ الكريمُ السَّببَ في ذلك فقال :
¤ "فإنَّ أحَدَكم إذا صلَّى وهو ناعسٌ لعلَّه يَذهَبُ يَستغفِرُ فيَسُبُّ نفْسَه" ، أي : لعلَّ الَّذي يُصلِّي وهو في حالةِ النُّعاسِ وهو لا يَدْري بما يَقولُه فيُبدِّلُ الكلامَ فبَدلًا مِن أن يدعُوَ لنَفسِه بالخيرِ يَدْعو على نفسِه بالشَّرِّ ، أو يسُبُّ نفْسَه وهو لا يَشعُرُ.
